Unlike gas and oil boilers, heat pumps generally deliver heat at lower temperatures over much longer periods. However, with the new R32 refrigerants replacing older refrigerants, heat pumps can now get up to temperatures of 60 degrees. 

 

Wall Mounted Air Conditioners

Wall mounted air conditioners are the most common units used in the home. The main advantages are that wall units are always the cheapest option to install and easiest to retrofit.


Models designed for homes are both efficient and quiet. A single wall unit will usually be able to cool most rooms, however, larger rooms sometimes need an additional unit. 


Another big advantage of air conditioning units is they now provide heat. This is particularly useful if you have a room that is extremely hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The air conditioning unit is still very efficient in heating mode and so can be cheaper than some other methods.
